My friend Melanie N. introduced this mouthwatering treat to me a couple of years ago. She would pull it out of the oven while we were over playing games...mmm it was the perfect game night treat. We always looked forward to game night at her house!! She says she got the idea from a favorite restraunt in Arizona. Not only is it seriously sinfully good, but it has the most fun name...Pizzookie! It is a pizza style cookie, served warm and gooey with ice cream! It is to die for and soo easy to throw together. It has become a family favorite and big hit at our house!

Your favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Or buy a roll of refrigerated dough
Vanilla ice cream
Smoosh cookie dough into a pie plate. Bake for about 10-15 minutes—or just until barely brown. Remove from oven and let cool for only a few minutes. Spoon big scoops of vanilla ice cream into the warm center. Serve it to whoever you want to love you forever! Every bite is PURE HEAVEN!!
This is my all time favorite dessert! I first had it in Utah and have made them at home many times. On one of my last visits to Utah I found individual cast iron pizzokie pans at Tai Pan Trading and of course bought enough for my whole family!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I have never heard of it, but it sounds really yummy and fun. I'll have to try it. I just love the name. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! I also like the individual pan idea! :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite desserts. Firehouse Pizza in Logan has a great one..but I like making them at home too! Cookies and ice cream, everyone is in heaven!
ReplyDeleteOh, why didn't I think of that! That would be a hit around my house so, yes, it is on the list of things to make!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I can't wait to bust this out at our next game night (as in football, you know Eric won't play games, the party pooper!)...it will be a hit!
ReplyDeleteI get this at my favorite pizza place almost every time I go there. They are so ooey-gooey yummy.
ReplyDeleteI love Oreganos and I LOVE the Pzookie. I have found that for a slighter smaller portion the disposable mini pie pans work great. Also you can use any type of cookie dough you like. My favorite is white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies.
