Fudge Crinkles

I have been packing my house up for days in preparation for a long distance move and I was so sick of it I just had to take a break and make cookies. I ate 4 as soon as they were out of the oven but I deserved them! :) The fact that this recipe is so fast and easy helped me not feel so guilty about "wasting" time! These cookies are also cute and super tasty so they're as perfect for a party as they are for a quick therapy-baking-session! Ha!!

Fudge Crinkles

1 box Devils Food cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup canola oil
powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together first 3 ingredients. Dust hands with powdered sugar then roll dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar and place on greased cookie sheet (or silpat, ungreased of course). Bake 8-10 minutes. Don't overbake! They should puff up during baking and flatten with cooling.

  3. Oh, I am so excited to have this recipe. The problem with me is that sometimes I get this huge sweet tooth after the kids go to bed, but the effort and time involved in following a long cookie recipe is just too much, and so I scavenger around the kitchen looking for anything fulfilling to eat. I never find anything that satisfies, so I just fill up on other snacks and am never satiated. THIS IS A BREAK THROUGH RECIPE! I can't wait! I'm going to the store to buy twenty boxes of Devils Food Cake!! :)

  5. Ohh . . .this is dangerous! Chocolate crinkles are one of my very favorite types of cookie - and having this shortcut recipe could be too convenient! =)

  6. These are one of my faves. I usually roll them in granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar. They glisten when they come out of the oven.

  8. Mmm... I love when you make these, too, Baba! Oh, how sad that you won't be around the corner to share all your culinary creations with me anymore. You are going to have some lucky new neighbors in Washington. :)

  13. I love these cookies. They are my old stand by dessert. You can make them in no time and everyone thinks they are so gourmet. Sometimes I put chocolate chips on the top after they are rolled. So great!
