Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

I absolutely love Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. Mmm-mmm!  (Granted, chocolate cookies take the cake for me - my two all-time favorites are these and these. You must try them both out! The links will open into new tabs for you.)
Last summer my friend, Jen Johnson, brought me a plate of these cookies still warm and soft from the oven and it was the ultimate indulgence. So good!  She kindly sent me the recipe she used.  :)
I liked how the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe that Melanie posted had half PB chips and half chocolate chips in it. I tried that for these cookies last time I made them and it was awesome!

1 cup butter (2 sticks) room temperature
2/3 cup peanut butter (creamy)
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

2 2/3 cup flour
2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt

1 bag, or less, milk chocolate chips (I prefer using half Peanut Butter chips! So good.)

Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla together until smooth. Combine flour, soda and salt and add to butter mixture. Fold in chocolate chips with a wooden spoon (I confess I still use my Bosch mixer, but I just do a quick mix so that I don't overwork the dough).

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.  Just cook until they start to brown and then take them out and let them cool a few minutes on pan before transferring.

  8. As I reached for the peanut butter in my cubboard, I had to pass the Nutella and then I thought to myself, "Why not use THAT instead!" so I did and these are soo good. Try using Nutella instead of Peanut butter next time! Thanks for the recipe. by the way, we loved the leek soup!! even my husband did and he doesn't like normal potatoe soup. :)
