Today I get to tell you about a fantastic new cookie I tried recently from Tate's Bake Shop: their newest cookie, the Whole Wheat Dark Chocolate Chip. And boy is it delicious! These cookies are for all you crunchy-cookie fans out there. They are thin and crispy with a wonderful buttery taste that had me reaching into the bag for just one more, about a dozen times! (Which of course was completely ok since they are made with whole wheat and everyone knows that dark chocolate is good for you too! hee hee!) These sweet little gems won GOLD in the Cookie category in the 2011 sofi™ Awards, presented at the Fancy Food Show in Washington, DC. With that in mind, we thought you all had better try them out too. Baking is a ton of fun (as I'm sure you'd agree, otherwise you wouldn't be on our website)! But when the holidays roll around it's great to have some packaged baked goods on hand for serving to guests or giving out as gifts. These cookies will be just the thing, especially since they come in a darling little bag all ready to give away!
In honor of National Cookie Month, Tate's Bake Shop is giving out 3 bags of the Whole Wheat Dark Chocolate Chip cookies and a signed copy of Kathleen King’s cookbook, The Tate’s Bake Shop Cookbook, to one lucky winner of a giveaway here on The Sister's Cafe! In addition, they are giving all our readers a special discount of 15% off any order at their e-bakery http://tatesbakeshop.com/. Just use the code COOKIE at checkout - it's good through October 31st.
