Blend for 2 more minutes.
Add:
2 eggs
½ tsp salt
½ cup oil
½ cup oil
1 Tbsp baking powder
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp sugar
Blend only long enough to combine. Cook on hot griddle. The batter is very thin.Connor’s Bubbly Syrup
½ cube butter (I use 2TB less)
1 cup sugar
¾ cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp baking soda
*the original recipe called for 1 Tb of corn syrup--which I leave out--I am not a fan of that stuff!
In a small saucepan heat butter, sugar, and buttermilk. After sugar is dissolved remove from heat and stir in the soda and vanilla. Mixture will fizz. Let rest, stirring occasionally. Serve warm with pancakes or waffles.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try out these pancakes! And, of course, some fresh fruit out of my yard....that might happen in JULY at this rate! :) But I'll make the pancakes this weekend~ Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am going to try these soon. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I love these pancakes. They are so light for being whole wheat. My 18 month old downs three of them in no time! They also freeze well, which saves me time on mornings I don't feel like or have time to make breakfast. Thanks!
ReplyDelete[...] like these with Connor’s Bubbly Syrup ( Buttermilk syrup). And they are amazing with freshly whipped cream if you have any:) if [...]
