Pears have been on sale at the grocery store... and I went a little gang busters when I bought them last week. We had pears coming out of our ears! I remembered there was a pear pie recipe I wanted to try and decided that this was a good time to do it. We loved it! I actually made it twice because the first time I didn't cook it long enough and the custard didn't set up all the way... which didn't stop us from eating the whole thing. :) The second time, I cooked it for the full 35 minutes and it turned out fabulous. My husband and I loved it! And I thought it was so pretty. Definitely a keeper recipe.

ReplyDeleteSounds delicious. I love pears and almond flavoring. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteThis pie was delicious and my Husband loved it! I will be making it again. However, I think I might incorporate almonds into next time. The almond flavoring itself was a bit much for me but my Husband thought is was great. Just a thought. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful recipe!
